Outside bets stay ordinary. Red still loses on zero. The lightning attaches to straight-up numbers. If you bet a number and it is both the winner and a lit number, the pay is the boosted multiple instead of the usual 35 to 1. If you only bet red, a lit number does nothing extra for you.
The studio return is still quoted near 97.3%, close to ordinary European roulette. The multipliers make the graph lumpier. They are not a free improvement.
